Video of an igloo I built in a field near my house in November 2010 with explanation of building method. I built it using a washing up bowl which I packed snow into to form the bricks for building. Once each one was laid, I packed snow between the joints and smoothed more snow over the filled joints inside and out to bind the structure together. After each layer of bricks was laid, they were shaped with a kitchen knife to get the required angle for the next layer. Once the dome was made, I cut an access hole then built an arched tunnel as a entrance. Check out my other bushcraft videos in the playlist on the right side of the page. Thanks for watching.

My Pet’s New Favorite Sleeping Spot,
My pet hedgehog loves this igloo! Although this product is sold for guinea pigs, any small animal can use it. I have placed it in his cage and he now enjoys pulling the bedding into the igloo to make himself a nice cozy bed! The igloo is great because it is plastic, so it is easy to wipe up any messes that a pet may leave behind. My only complaint would be that you can’t pick the color of the igloo that you receive and I ended up with a pink one. Pink is a great color, but not the first pick for my male hedgehog!

I have two guinea pigs and they each have their own igloo. They are very easy to clean. The guinea pigs act like hermit crabs and drag their houses around. The igloos are lightweight and I don’t have to worry about them getting hurt on sharp corners.

My teenage son and I share this cooler because he goes to the school I work in. We have this cooler with us for nearly 12 hours a day and it has kept our food and drinks cold. Bringing microwave meals to school was becoming a problem for my son because he like the Hungry Man brand which comes in big boxes. This cooler is big enough to put big bottles of soda and boxes of microwave meals.I just throw in a couple of those ice gel packs and it does a very good job of maintaining the temperature. It’s so good at keeping things cool that one night I forgot to take the gel packs out and twelve hours later, I found that they were still partially frozen. It’s very roomy but not too bulky. My son loves the color and design. It’s perfect for a man and I intend to give this cooler to my son when he gets his first job because I know it’s durable enough to last a lifetime.

|Perfect Size for 2-5,
It took me a while to find a cooler that would hold enough food for a day at the beach without going overboard. This cooler is the perfect size for my family + a couple grandparents. It easily fits just about any common food items you might want for the beach: soda, chips, subs, etc. Sure, the chips don’t need to stay cool, but if it’s just my wife, my daughter and I, it’s easy to just throw all in the food in one accessible container.
The construction of the cooler is similar to other Igloo coolers with this type of design. The “diamond plate exterior” does add some protection to the outer walls of the cooler, but if anything is going to break on these coolers, it’s going to be the handle. Still, the diamond plate does lend a nice look to the cooler and you’ll have a hard time finding a more attractive unit. Although it’s black, it doesn’t seem to soak up much heat if you can’t find a shady area for it.
